Rudolf Hommes Rodríguez is a Colombian politician and economist, mostly known for serving a term as Minister of Finance and Public Credit under the administration of President César Gaviria, and during this period he introduced many liberal policies in Colombia's Economy. He is also a regular columnist on many important Colombian media outlets on articles relating mostly to Finances and one of President Álvaro Uribe's principal advisors.

Rudolf Hommes is a well known Colombian economist, having received a BBA, BSc, and MBA from California State University, Sacramento, and a PhD in Management from the University of Massachusetts Amherst,[1] and has been a professor of finance, statistics, economics, and decision theory at the Universidad de los Andes in Bogotá, Colombia.
